Alstom acquires 25% of the capital of Transmashholding

On 1 March 2010, Alstom and Transmashholding (TMH), Russia's largest railway equipment manufacturer, signed three documents which firm up the strategic partnership agreement that they signed on 31 March 2009. These documents were signed in the presence of Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation, and Nicolas Sarkozy, President of France.
Alstom wins €90 million power plant control system order in South Africa

Alstom, a leader in integrated energy management solutions for power plants, has won a contract worth €90 million for the automation of Eskom’s latest thermal power plant project, Kusile. Alstom Power will engineer, supply and install its latest ALSPA® Series 6 Distributed Control System (DCS).
Alstom will provide 23 metros to Amsterdam

The municipality of Amsterdam (Netherlands) has placed an order with Alstom Transport for 23 metro trainsets, for a total amount of around €200 million. The contract includes an option for additional metro trainsets for the North/South line which is under construction.
